DIGICEL EXXONMOBIL CUP UPDATED ROUND 5 SCHEDULE
The scheduling of matches for Round 5 of the 2024 Digicel ExxonMobil Cup competition haschanged due to flight cancellation and delays. Subsequently the match between West New Britain Provincial Government Kimbe Cutters and Moni Plus NCDC Port Moresby Vipers at Peter Humphreys Oval has been deferred to Sunday 12th May at 2pm.
The match to be played at Jonah Amban Oval in Minj between Asila Waghi Tumbe and PRK Gulf Isou has now been moved to kick off at 3pm on Saturday.
Tony Archer, General Manager of Pathways and Performance, said, ‘The changes that we have had made this afternoon are forced by factors outside of our control. I would like to thank our clubs as we continue to navigate through these challenges. We apologise for the inconvenience to our fans, and we remain committed to delivering the competition nationally.”
“We will continue to work closely with our valued sponsors, stakeholders and partners, and our teams to ensure the games are played as closely as possible to the released draw. Importantly, we will remain agile as these issues arise”, Archer added.
The revised schedule for the two matches are as:
Saturday 11th May 2024
3pm Asila Waghi Tumbe vs PRK Gulf Isou, John Amban Oval, Minj
Sunday 12 May 2024
2pm WNBPG Kimbe Cutter vs Moni Plus NCDC POM Vipers, Peter Humphreys Oval, Kimbe.
